Our Third Annual YEF Golf Tournament Was a Wonderful Success
We were thrilled to have a gorgeous Fall day for the third annual York Education Foundation Golf Tournament at York Golf and Tennis Club. Familiar traditions with a few fresh touches made for another memorable event, with more than one hundred golfers taking to the course. With less wind than last year, conditions were calmer, and the increasingly popular Mulligan packages helped bring scores down overall. A delicious lunch served hot off the grill rounded out the day on the course. Then we all gathered in the Old Clubhouse for the reception which included a tasty array of hors d’oeuvres and a silent auction, while being entertained by Frank Fogg’s band.
We awarded prizes to the top three foursomes. After a spirited competition, the Greenier Builders team – Frank Fogg, Josh Trivilino, Nate Currier, and Bill Greenier – claimed first place. The Colonial Life foursome of Kim Cunningham, Peter Dawson, Paula Dargan, and Katey Stone took second, followed by the Agamenticus Plumbing team of Michelle Palmer, Scott Palmer, Chad Downes, and Matt Varney in third.
Individual honors added to the day’s excitement. Nate Currier and Courtney Munoz earned closest-to-the-pin awards, while Drew Webber and Brooke Dunphy took home the longest-drive prizes.
